Outside, the cauldron is rough to the touch due to a dense layer of soot, which is formed as a result of solidification of industrial oil and a long stay over a gas burner. Soot does not paint, you will not get dirty, this is the so-called anti-corrosion treatment of metal. The cauldron must be calcined before use.
